Axialis Developer Network

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026

This is an initial plain-language version. The site owner will arrange a formal legal review before launch.

Who we are

The Axialis Developer Network (AxDN) is a free developer resource hub operated by Axialis. It is published at axdn.com. This policy describes what data AxDN collects and how it is used.

What we collect and why

Social sign-in (Google / GitHub)

If you choose to sign in, AxDN uses OAuth via Google or GitHub. We never see or store your password. After a successful sign-in we store:

  • your verified email address — used to identify your account and link multiple providers to the same account;
  • your display name as returned by the provider;
  • your avatar URL as returned by the provider (a link to the provider-hosted image, not a copy);
  • a provider identity record that references your provider user ID — no OAuth tokens are persisted beyond the session.

Signing in lets you save tool outputs, favourite assets, and participate in the community. It is entirely optional; the Learn guides, interactive Tools, and starter Assets are available without an account.

Newsletter

If you submit your email address to the newsletter, we store that address and send a confirmation email (double opt-in). Your subscription is not activated until you click the confirmation link. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any newsletter email; on unsubscribe your address is removed from the active mailing list.

Interactive Tools

The free Tools in the Tools section run entirely in your browser. Files and assets you drop into a tool are processed locally by JavaScript. They are never uploaded to AxDN servers, never sent over the network, and never stored anywhere outside your own device.

Cookies and session data

AxDN uses a first-party session cookie to maintain signed-in state and to remember your light/dark theme preference. These are strictly necessary for the site to work and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

AxDN uses Google Analytics 4 to understand which guides, tools, and assets are useful so we can improve them. Analytics is off by default: the Google Analytics script is not loaded and no analytics cookies are set until you explicitly Accept on the cookie banner. If you Decline — or if your browser sends a “Do Not Track” signal — Google Analytics is never loaded and makes no request.

When you accept, Google Analytics sets first-party _ga cookies to measure aggregate, non-advertising usage (pages viewed, approximate region, device type). We do not use this data to identify you personally, and we do not use Google’s advertising features or cross-site ad tracking.

You can change your choice at any time:

Manage cookie settings

Your choice is stored in a first-party axdn_analytics_consent cookie so you are not asked again on future visits.

Server logs

Our web server records standard access logs (IP address, request path, timestamp, user-agent string). These are used for security monitoring and diagnosing errors; they are not combined with your account data for profiling purposes.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell personal data to third parties.
  • We do not use third-party advertising networks or track you across other sites.
  • We do not store OAuth access tokens beyond the sign-in session.
  • We do not process files you open in our Tools — they never leave your browser.

Third-party links and services

AxDN links to Axialis product pages (axialis.com) and to the community forum at community.axdn.com (opens in a new tab) (a separate Discourse instance). Each of those services has its own privacy policy; AxDN is not responsible for their data practices. Sign-in via Google or GitHub is subject to those providers' own terms and privacy notices.

Questions

If you have questions about how AxDN handles your data, you can raise them in the community forum (opens in a new tab) or reach out via the Axialis contact page at axialis.com.
